Aeymoda is a brand based in Lagos, Nigeria that draws from cultural inspiration to create statement making women’s wear. The brand specializes in the use of locally made fabrics such as adire (tie and dyed fabric) and Aso Oke (a woven fabric native to the Yoruba ethnic group). The Aeymoda kimono is made of non-starched cotton fabric which is flowing, durable and breathable. The fabric is meticulously hand designed and dyed by artisans so that each piece is a unique work of art. Unlike commonly sold polyester alternatives, this fabric will not easily snag or pull and as a natural fiber, it will absorb rather than repel moisture.
